Planning

Planning your construction project is our job and we do it right.

SMED understands the importance of doing proactive planning through continuous critical path monitoring and management throughout the project delivery phase. A well-developed comprehensive contract programme can be used as a management and reporting tool that will enable the project team to always stay on track in the project.

Preliminary tender programming

When a project is being tendered, the Contractor needs to produce a programme as part of its tender submission indicating the proposed timeline of project, sequence, and duration of works. The complexity of programme can vary from simple grant chart programs with critical path analysis to comprehensive programme with resource and cost loading. Without a reliable programme at the outset, subsequent planning activities become far less reliable and effective.

SMED provides expert support on preparing tender programmes based on the tender drawings and specification available and what is the requirement as stated in the tender documents.

Trust us with this. We have hands on experience both in programming and running a site and completing project on time. We really mean business here. We know the details well- what is takes to pour a 2000sqm slab or what it takes to erect 100-ton steel structure. When we programme it, we just don’t pull durations out of thin air. We programme it accounting for the right construction methodology to do the job.
